அன்று கருணையற்ற கமலவிழிகள்
இன்று காதல் செய்குதுவோ..
உறவும் இல்லை; உரிமையும் இல்லை
உண்மை அறிந்தும்; உதவ மறந்த..
கருணை..
இன்று காதல் செய்குதுவோ..
உறவும் இல்லை; உரிமையும் இல்லை

கருணை..
பழம் பிறவியில் பண்ணிய வினை
பழுத்த தாழியை உடைத்ததுவோ?
கொழு கொம்பற்ற கொடியெனவே
அழுதிடும் இந்த அன்பனைச் சேரா..
கருணை..
நெருப்பில் வெந்து பொசுங்கிருப்பேன்
நீரிலாவது அமிழ்ந்து கரைந்திருப்பேன்
உனை நம்பியே உயிர் பூத்த
சங்கர மலரினை சபையினில் மிதித்த..

it is not the nature of a flower[when a bee sits on it]to feel that the bee is trampling it or stinging it;it instinctively knows that the bee will help it to become a fruit. s0,you,the flower, should remember that whatever problem you are made to face will prove to be a step towards maturity rather than a bee-sting!
