Once been an abode of a pearl
That perhaps embellishes the crown of a prince.
Washed up to the shore having missed its love!
At times, even being stamped by the passer-byes,
Having got buried under the sands and
Waited for the occasional rain drops to wipe its face!
There it lies, half hidden in the sands of the beach
So faded, decayed and unnoticed!
And yes! yet waits for a moment..
To glitter like a star on the earth..
For the Sun that cruises the blue sky
For a glimpse from a special slant - some day, some time!
